A return. Life dealt me a long, needed break from the wonderful (but wearing) work of weddings. I am back! Delighted to be. What a return!!

I was reminded recently of this portrait. Made for my Gravida book, but one of the darlings killed along the editing journey. (Don’t worry the actual darling @katherinegoliniwalker is alive and well with her wonderful wife and now 2 daughters!)

Late summer, sliced like melon,
moments paired off like dancers,
a trip here, a twirl there,
trying so hard to plan,
but maybe it’s all improv
