I realized earlier this year that I was a family photographer, who had close to no photos of my own family together. Or more specifically, of me with my family! So, I asked Melina, of Wild + Bright Photography, if she’d like to do a trade; she photograph my family, and I photograph hers.
I am sooooo glad I did. and so glad she agreed! Honestly, it was a reminder, for us both, of the value of the work we do.
To see your own connections to the people you hold dearest reflected back to you, can feel like a gift.
Also a gift ~ when people whole heartedly show up for me and my camera, and allow themselves to be seen.
Melina, and her sweet, badass family did just that. Probably why I love these photos, and why we had so much fun, it was hard to leave at Olive’s bedtime!
